Science National Honor Society Induction, October 24th

On October 24, 2018, the Maggie Walker chapter of the Science National Honor Society Induction will be held at 11:40 am in the auditorium followed by a reception in room 153.  This year thirty-one students will be inducted,  20 juniors and 11 seniors.  In order to  be invited to membership students must meet and maintain the following qualifications:

  • completed community service in a science endeavor
  • demonstrated leadership abilities and honorable character
  • junior inductees have completed two years of the required sequence of honors level science courses as well as enrollment in or completion of an AP or secondary-level science course
  • junior inductees have maintained an un-weighted grade point average across all science courses of 3.80
  • senior inductees have completed or are enrolled in a fifth science course, one of which is an AP class
  • senior inductees have maintained an un-weighted grade point average of 3.70 across all science courses
