Standing O for Ms. Kelly Ndayizigiye, MLWGS freshman counselor, during National School Counselors Week + Mr. V

On the last day of National School Counselors Week, we recognize Ms. Kelly Ndayizigiye, freshman counselor. “At one time we were called guidance counselors, but not anymore,” said Ms. Ndayizigiye. “That’s because a school counselor does so much more. My job is to help you develop the skills to be successful at Maggie Walker and life, including academics, social-emotional learning, and life readiness. When the community understands what school counselors do, I can better help you.”

Bonus!

Let’s not forget the work of our Registrar Mr. Lucas Veale, who in addition to all the records he maintains for our students, is invaluable to our counselors.
