Still looking for volunteers for the MW Parent Ambassador Program

The PTSA’s Parent Connections program is looking for 5 more parent volunteers for the Maggie Walker Parent Ambassador Program. Our focus for this program is to provide information and to help families feel welcome and connected at MLWGS.  Parent Ambassadors will be assigned a group of about 12 Freshman families.  Ambassadors will contact their assigned families monthly via email to provide helpful information (Ambassadors generated this info collectively last year to share). Ideally, Ambassadors will also create in-person connections with their assigned families. Opportunities for this will be discussed as the year progresses! Last year was the pilot year for the program and feedback from Freshman families was overwhelmingly positive!  If you are a parent of a rising Sophomore or Junior and are interested in helping, please reach out to Kim Warren.
