Teacher Receives Distinguished Adjunct Faculty Award

Math Department Leader, Connie Hill was recognized at the UR Commencement as recipient of the 2016 Itzkowitz Family Distinguished Adjunct Faculty Award.  Connie was recognized as a professor who makes her subject accessible through encouragement and reinforcement.

Connie accepted the award with humility and gratitude.  She told the graduates how success must involve sacrifice and serving others.  She described her own path to teaching and the sacrifices she made to answer the call to this noble profession 21 years ago.

Please join us in applauding Connie Hill, a model of excellence in teaching, not just at MW, but in the college classroom!

Also, a thank you is in order for Lisa Williams who attended the commencement (and created much of this write-up) to celebrate the graduation of a family member and was doubly proud to hear from Connie as a speaker.
