Thank you from GSMUN XVII

Thank you for your support of GSMUN XVII.  We had 500+ registered delegates from 32 schools.  Some coming from as far as Maryland!  We even had another Governor’s School- Massanutten Regional.

We were able to raise $12,000.00 for our charity, the Afghan Institute of Learning.  Dr. Yacoobi, the founder and CEO of AIL, shared the heroic story of her organization and gave a call to action for the delegates.  She is a former Noble Peace Prize nominee.  Former UK Prime Minister Gordon Brown also gave an inspiring set of prepared remarks and did a fascinating Q&A.
