The Embassy of Japan officials visited the Japanese class on Friday, February 16. Students had the opportunity to talk in small groups with Japanese embassy officials about the education system in Japan, study abroad programs, what a diplomat does, and the career path to becoming a diplomat. Students also shared why they are learning Japanese and why learning languages is important. The officials were very impressed with our students and expressed their interest in supporting the Japanese program at MLWGS. Embassy officials also met with Dr. Lowerre and Mr. White, the International Languages department chair, to congratulate MLWGS on the establishment of our Japanese 3 course.
