VHSL Foundation 2025-26 Achievement Award Scholarship Recipients Announced

The VHSL Foundation awards nineteen $2,000 scholarships annually to one male scholar-athlete, one female scholar-athlete, and one academic activities participant in each VHSL classification, plus one student from any classification who has overcome significant odds. This year’s recipients will be honored at a luncheon at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, May 18, at the Omni Hotel in Charlottesville. Senior Counselor Kimberly Forquer will attend this ceremony with our students.

“The VHSL Foundation is proud to honor students for excellence in academics and extracurricular activities,” said Jessica Hurd, President, VHSL Foundation Board. “These scholarships are possible thanks to our generous donors.”

The VHSL Foundation supports student-athletes and academic participants across Virginia by providing scholarships, funding programs, and resources that enhance their educational and extracurricular experiences. Through partnerships and contributions, the Foundation helps empower students to excel in both academics and athletics, shaping the leaders of tomorrow.

Since 1992, when the first scholarships were awarded, 459 students have received scholarships.
