VHSL recognizes schools for participation in robotics, MW Mech Tech team judged Trophy Class

On the evening of May 23, the VHSL recognized member schools for participation in Robotics for the second year. The newest official activity for VHSL schools, The Robotics Championships, recognize schools for a body of work in robotics conducted over the school year. Schools submit a portfolio to be judged by a panel of experts in the field and are recognized with Trophy class, or First or Second class awards based on evaluation against a published rubric.

The VHSL again held this year’s championship recognition virtually. Still, we hope to return to an in-person event starting in spring 2023 and have many more schools participate in the submission process and the championship event. We invite and encourage all member schools who sponsor robotics to consider submitting for VHSL recognition, and please reach out to League staff with any questions regarding the process. Congratulations to this year’s award recipients.
