Walker Debate wins 2026 VHSL Champsionship

Debate Champs 2026

Congratulations to the MLWGS Debate team, who won the 2026 VHSL Championship on Saturday at Randolph Macon College.

Theo Chukin, ’28-Chesterfield, placed first in Lincoln Douglas; Jackie Liang, ’28-Henrico, and Kritika Goel, ’28-Chesterfield, placed first in Policy; and Kritika won first in Speaker points in Policy! Navya Agarwal, ’27-Henrico, contributed in Student Congress! 

“So proud of their dedication to critical thinking and public discourse,” a sentiment shared by their sponsor and coach, Ms. Celie Boswell.

Ms. Erin MacPherson, speech sponsor and assistant for debate, added, “I want to echo Ms. Boswell’s praise of these amazing students who worked so hard preparing for the State Tournament & gave every round their all!”
