‘YOU CAN’T TAKE IT WITH YOU’ Opens Thursday, November 20

Carol and John Piersol and the MLWGS Drama department, Director Matt Polson, and the MLWGS Drama Boosters are thrilled to present the classic comedy, ‘You Can’t Take It With You’, in three performances Thursday, November 20 through Saturday, November 22, at 7:00 PM each night. The show, a madcap romantic comedy set in 1930’s New York, won a Pulitzer Prize for drama and inspired a movie version that won the Oscar for Best Picture. For decades, audiences have been amused this peek into the lives of the slightly batty Sycamore family, plus a few of their eccentric friends, and the somewhat uptight Kirby family, when Alice Sycamore (played by Mary-Dryden Maio) and Tony Kirby, Jr. (played by Sam Martin) become engaged. As they bring their two families together, Alice’s only desire is for her family to seem ‘normal’, which only brings out the oddball in everyone. Please join us for a delightful evening of classic Broadway entertainment. Tickets $10 at the door, or avoid standing in line by buying online at: http://www.brownpapertickets.com/event/886371
