Walker Debate are standouts at Super Regionals on April 5th

On Saturday, April 5, 2025, the MLWGS Debate Team participated in the Super-Regionals. Together with their coach, Celie Boswell, they proudly represented Maggie Walker. At least three team members will compete in the State Tournament on April 26th.

Speech team results at the State Tournament on March 29 were reported here.

Debate Super-Regionals Final Rankings: 

  • Cathleen Liu & Zoe Fang: 2nd Place in Public Forum Debate 
  • Annie Katherine Robin Santhosh & Simone Shende: 4th Place (States Alternate) in Public Forum Debate
  • Kyra (Theo) Chukin: 2nd Place in Lincoln-Douglas Debate 
  • Simon Moon: 5th Place (States Alternate) in Lincoln-Douglas Debate 

These students gave up part of their Spring Break to represent our school and did so honorably. Ms. Boswell, along with Erin MacPherson (Speech Sponsor), are proud of their students’ hard work and dedication to our school and our teams!
