MLWGS welcomes visiting students from Shimane University in Japan on Friday

On Friday, February 9th, eight students from Shimane University, Japan, will be visiting to observe Ms. Yoko Eshita’s Japanese classes at Maggie Walker Governor’s School. These university students are in Richmond as part of an exchange program through VCU. “Many students are majoring in Education and are pursuing becoming teachers in Japan,” said Ms. Eshita.

Besides participating in the Japanese classes, these university students will be paired with a Maggie Walker student and will shadow them throughout the day experiencing what it is like to be a high school student in the United States.

Welcome…we are honored to share the Walker experience with you.
